Sister Emily Williams

This is my friend,
E M I L Y.

We are
kindred spirits.

She and I met through visiting teaching.
Then our friendship blossomed when we unexpectedly found ourselves in the same institute class.

I never realized this before, but it has finally struck me that
because I was where I was supposed to be, I received one of the greatest blessings I could've asked for - a friend who would stick with me through
merriment and misery.

T O G E T H E R
- we've screamed through roller coasters
- ventured through an underground tunnel infested with dead roaches and rats
- swung our hips to Zumba
- stayed up all night talking and laughing about nothing
- beach cruised from Huntington to Balboa and back
- been kicked out of a park by a cop
- jay walked to find the music
- shared the same quirky love of gliding our palms over the pool
- strengthened each other through tears and heartbreak and
- have witnessed the growth and accomplishment each of us have triumphantly achieved over the course of the year.

Now Emily is entering a gleaming new chapter in her life. She gets the opportunity to spend
18 months in continuous
service to the Lord as a
m i s s i o n a r y.
And she just left this morning. Words cannot express how thrilled I am for her and the decision she has made.

She is one of my favorite people of all time,
and I am so grateful for her and the
impact she has made in my life.

Love you, Em!

It has been great to be Emily's visiting teacher and I know she will be a wonderful missionary in the Lord's service.
You are both a couple of the best people I know!
