The time has come! I am getting set apart as a missionary tonight. I am so excited for all the lessons I will learn and the people I will meet. I love my Heavenly Father. I know He wants all His children to know how much He loves them. Because He loves them, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to come to the earth and perform the Atonement, suffering every one of our sins and burdens and sacrificing Himself that we might live! And He lives! I CAN'T WAIT to let everyone I meet know this truth. I can't wait to serve them. I can't wait to get to know them and build strong relationships. I can't wait to see individuals' lives change as they learn and use the Atonement. I can't wait to see people come to know for themselves that Christ stands at the head of this church, and it is true. And I can't wait for them to see that God still speaks to His children today through the still small whisperings of the Spirit. They can pray to Him and receive answers to problems they are struggling with. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith knew this truth, and applied it in his life, and actually in reality saw the Father and the Son who gave him the answer he needed - which was that the gospel of Jesus Christ needed to be restored to the earth and he was called and chosen to help with this work. God also has continued to provide us with prophets since who lead us, who represents Christ, and who will never lead us a stray - today, that being President Thomas S. Monson. I know he is called of God, because I have felt the Spirit testify to me that he is. Lastly, I must say that because God loves us, He will never cease to give us His words of love and guidance. This being said, I KNOW the Book of Mormon was given to us from God. I know that He helped Joseph Smith translate it for our benefit today. I have read it and felt the "seed swell within me" and I know that it is a "good seed" (Alma 32), and "whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do good is of [God], for good cometh of none save it be of [God]" (Ether 4:12). Because of the Holy Ghost, I know for myself that all these things are true, for "the Spirit speaketh truth and lieth not" (Jacob 4:13). And I wish for everyone who learn of these things to exercise faith and know it for themselves, because it is life-changing. Just by having this knowledge, I have everything I could ever want in life. This is my testimony, and I leave it with you in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
